In the Douro, the lovers of contemplation of nature and sport find several routes to perform healthy hiking and mountain biking.

On the territory of our village, Arícera, you can do some routes, walking and cycling. For people staying at Outros Tempos, are available, free of charge, up to 7 bikes. In the neighbouring areas, can our visitors choose between several options.

1. CYCLE PATHS

Ciclovia da Lapa – Sernancelhe (45 minutes from Outros Tempos)
Extension: 6800 m

If you go along this route, do not leave never, to visit the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Lapa, temple of great religiosity, which attracts many pilgrims throughout the year. It is suggested also to note the source of the river Vouga, located 1 km away from the Sanctuary.

Extension: 2000 m

Along this route, great for leisure, you will find various spaces for physical exercises.

2.ECOTRAILS (some are old railway routes using disabled)

Ecovia Douro Folgosa / Armamar (15 minutes from Outros Tempos)
Extension: 900 m

This way, always on the side of the Douro River, provides a pleasant stroll to their users.

Ecovia Ribeirinha-Peso da Régua (20 minutes from Outros Tempos)
Extension: 2223 m

Along this very pleasant way, can and should be supplemented by a trip to the South Bank of the River Douro, using the beautiful metallic bridge, and a visit to the Douro Museum, located in the main avenue of the city of Régua.

Ecopista do Corgo (old railway route)

Part I: Régua / Vila Real (the beginning is 20 minutes from Outros Tempos)
Extension: approximately 55 km (round trip)

For those who enjoy mountains biking this trail is "very good".

Part II: Vila Real or Abambres / Vila Pouca de Aguiar (the beginning is 35 minutes from Outros Tempos)
Extension: between 52 and 58 km (round trip)

Along this trail, interesting by the wealth of fauna and flora, you find several leisure areas and green spaces. It occupies part of the former railroad corridor that connected the cities of Régua and Chaves, passing through Vila Real. It's prepared for circulation on foot, by bicycle or on horseback.
